The corporate office employees of Hormel Foods Corporation (Austin, Minn.) completed their 2017 fundraising campaign for United Way of Mower County. The company’s employees raised nearly $370,000.
“Last year’s effort was beyond what we expected, and this year’s result proves Hormel Foods employees show no sign of slowing down,” said Diane Baker, Executive Director of the United Way of Mower County. “Hormel Foods has always been a great community supporter and the employees at its corporate office have taken their commitment to the United Way and our community to another level yet again. We are extremely grateful.”
“Our company has a focus on helping to support the communities in which we live and work. Here in Austin, the Hormel Foods employees continue to amaze me with their generosity,” said Erica Tweeten, Claims Manager at Hormel Foods and the company’s United Way campaign chair. “Year after year, they help support the United Way in a big way.”
The money raised by the Hormel Foods Corporate Office will contribute to the United Way of Mower County’s projected community need of $1,225,000. Donations to the 2017-2018 campaign will stay right here in Mower County, supporting programs targeting the needs of local residents.
